Bring Out the Spice Love

This Cowboy Seasoning Rub is going to blow your mind! It is the perfect spice mix when you are looking for a dry rub with a chili base + no sweetness. It is super simple to make + you will have plenty to stash away for a summer of grilling steak, chicken + YES, even mix it in with vegetables.

Ingredients
1/3 cup chili powder
1/8 cup garlic powder
1/8 cup onion powder
1/8 cup cumin
1/8 cup dried oregano
1 Tablespoon paprika
1 Tablespoon sea salt
1 Tablespoon course black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper use more or less
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients.
Sprinkle meat + veggies with spice mix + grill as desired.

I usually just spinkle it on liberally. Season as desired.
This is a dry rub so I did not rub the meat or veggies with oil first.

EASY Sweet Cowboy Rub Recipe takes just 5 minutes to prepare + uses ingredients already in your spice pantry. Don't buy a prepackaged mix when you can very easily make your own.

Making my own seasonings + sauces have become pretty much a past time. My husband + I love being able to blend our own flavors adjusting each mix with our mood. Since I have a sensitivity to MSG, we have to stay away from prepackaged mixes which is all the same since I pretty much have every spice I need sitting right in my spice cabinet.

Ingredients

1/4 cup brown sugar 

1 tablespoon coarse sea salt 

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 teaspoons smoked paprika 

2 teaspoons  garlic powder 

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon ground dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, more or less to taste

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl + mix well. Store in an airtight container or glass jar for up to 6 months.
